Today, teenagers, ALL TEENAGERS, are vulnerable to being lured in unsuspectingly by a predator. It is silent, subtle and seductive. Last year in California, 72% of human trafficking cases involved U.S. kids. Who is at risk? Our kids, your kids, kids who need money, kids with low self-esteem, special needs kids, kids that are having sex anyway, kids who use the internet… Need I say more? We all have something in common with these kids. They all want to be loved. That makes us all vulnerable. Predators recognize a kid with an intense need to be loved and without the tools to protect themselves. That is why Million Kids wrote “The Love Trap”.
“The Love Trap” teaches school administrators, teachers, parents, and teenagers how predators identify a potential victim, the methods they use to recruit innocent kids, how parents can recognize the signs that their child may be being recruited, and, most importantly, it teaches a young person how to protect themselves so they will not become a victim of human trafficking.
For teenagers, one bad decision can change a lifetime. “The Love Trap” teaches young people that strong self-worth comes through quality decisions. Help them say “No” to Predators.
